Feedback Hub Chrome Extension — Last updated: June 2026

1. Overview

The Feedback Hub extension ("Extension") allows users to annotate web pages and send feedback — including screenshots and page URLs — directly to their own Feedback Hub instance hosted on Supabase. This privacy policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and who can access it.

2. Data Collected

When you use the Extension, the following data may be collected and stored locally or transmitted to your configured API endpoint:

  • Page URL — the URL of the web page you are annotating, stored via chrome.storage.local.
  • Screenshot — a screenshot of the visible area of the page, captured with captureVisibleTab when you submit feedback.
  • API endpoint URL — the URL of your Feedback Hub backend, configured by you and stored via chrome.storage.local.
  • Feedback content — any text, annotations, or notes you enter manually before submitting.

3. How Data Is Used

All collected data is transmitted exclusively to the Supabase backend you configure. The Extension does not send any data to the developer, to Anthropic, to Google, or to any other third party. The data is used solely to populate your own Feedback Hub dashboard for review by your team.

4. Data Storage

Configuration settings (API URL) are stored locally on your device using the Chrome extension storage API (chrome.storage.local) and are not synced to any remote server by the Extension itself. Submitted feedback is stored in your own Supabase project database, which you control entirely.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party. Data flows only between your browser and the Supabase instance you have configured. No analytics, tracking, or telemetry data is collected by the Extension.

6. Permissions

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

  • activeTab— to access the currently active tab's URL and content when you click the extension icon.
  • scripting — to inject the annotation overlay into the current page.
  • storage — to save your API endpoint configuration locally.
  • host_permissions (<all_urls>) — required to allow the annotation overlay to work on any website you choose to annotate.

7. Your Rights

Since all data is stored in your own Supabase instance, you have full control over it. You can delete any feedback entry directly from your Feedback Hub dashboard or by accessing your Supabase database directly. You can also clear local extension storage at any time from Chrome's extension settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
